Let’s go big, not go home, fundraising to beat heartbreak forever

I’m Dan, In 2016 I found out I needed to have open heart surgery to replace a heart valve and part of an artery. This turned my world upside down and got me very low, not knowing where to go or who to turn to I plucked up the courage to contact the British Heart Foundation. If it wasn’t for the BHF I am not sure I would be in the position I am today. They helped me understand what I was going through, offered support and helped me find the surgeon that eventually performed my operation in 2018 to which I am eternally grateful for.

The BHF helped realise a second chance at my life, one where I wish to give back to the community. I hope to be more like the wonderful members of this charity and hope to raise as much money as I can to support this charity on their quest to beat heartbreak forever.

The research the BHF funds is groundbreaking and helping to save countless lives. The support they show to patients, their families and friends as well as all the doctors, nurses and support staff is incredible. Please join me in supporting this amazing charity by any means you can whether it be your time, some spare change or spreading the word.

I’ve set a high target in the hopes to reach that over the coming years races and events, so I hope you can join me on this journey to beat heartbreak!

**My first race is lions Martian 10km trail run Surrey** 30/06/2019

Thank you,
