Help and FAQs

Through Give in Celebration you can celebrate a special occasion whilst also fundraising for the British Heart Foundation

What is Give in Celebration?

Give in Celebration is an online fundraising space where you, your family and friends can celebrate a special occasion whilst also raising funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Why create a Give in Celebration fund page?

Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, getting married or just getting a year older - a Give in Celebration fund will make your day that bit more meaningful. By asking your friends and family to give donations in lieu of gifts, you can help us beat heartbreak forever.

How do I get started?

It’s easy to create your own Give in Celebration fund page. Simply follow this step-by-step process.

Do I need to pay a fee to set up my page?

Your Give in Celebration fund page is free to set up. The money you raise will help fund the British Heart Foundation’s ground breaking research.

Do I need to set a fundraising target?

Setting a target is optional, however research shows that your page can raise up to 46% more by setting a fundraising target!

How do I send you offline donations?

When you add an offline donation to your fund you will be given a reference number. Please ensure you quote this number in a covering letter along with your monies. Please send them to:

How much of the money I raise will directly support British Heart Foundation?

Every penny you donate will directly support the British Heart Foundation. We have created Give in Celebration so that all gifts go straight to us.

Can I add Gift Aid to the donations?

Yes. Using Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give, we can claim back 25p from HMRC, helping your donation go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50 just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn't cost you or the BHF a thing. So if you want your donation to go further, simply tick the Gift Aid box when you make your donation.

How do I tell my friends and family about my fund?

You can share your page through our Facebook, Twitter and email links on your fund page.

Can I change my page later?

Once your page has been created you can use the admin area to change your page information, and add photos and videos as often as you like. You can also update your fundraising target and change your password or email address at any time.

What about security?

You will be using a secure connection to create your page and make donations - a password-protected account will be set up for you to make any changes.

Is there someone I can talk to directly?

If you have any questions or want to chat through setting up your page, we can help. Get in touch by emailing heretohelp@bhf.org.uk or calling 0300 330 3322.
